Biography
Daniele was born in 1966 and grew up in La Spezia and the surrounding beauty of the Gulf where the immortal Byron and Shelley used to dwell. After eating an apple in a sunny square in Trieste during his navy service, he had a revelation about the beauty of the world. He studied art at Carrara and sculpture at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze and is influenced by a friendship with the painter Loffredo, the German expressionists, the colour of the sea and gold Madonnas. He travelled and painted in France, Spain, Greece and India with his wife Maria Dineley, enriching his visual and spiritual luggage. His main works are the ten sculptures at Loarre in the Spanish Pyrenees... and his two children.
